Deep Sea Scallops Tonight

Post by Whaler » Thu Aug 25, 2016 10:10 pm

I have done all of the cooking here at home for several years and really enjoy it. I consider myself a camp cook so there is nothing really special but this is one of my wife's favorites. Deep sea scallops seasoned with lemon pepper and a dash of sea salt sauteed in olive oil and butter with a side of great cole slaw from the OFC deli.

They really look inviting, I would need about a dozen.

Scallops are rich food and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but we have them fairly often, sautéed just like yours. I think it's near time for them to come around on the menu wheel again!

around here one can buy a good bit of steak for the same cost of a much smaller amount of seafood .... pricing has put all but a handful of seafood restaurants out of business .... we enjoy scallops, shrimp, oysters, and deviled crab .... my wife likes fish, me not so much .... the ones in your picture look great

We eat them often too. A local food chain regularly stocks "imperfect" pound packages of sea scallops. Some are broken into pieces. They are a great way to save on a fantastic tasting seafood item. They even run them on sale. 7.99 per lb. unheard of around here when perfect ones go for 20.00 per lb.
