Grandson just texted me and he scored 1000 caps for me. Should be good now for a while.

I never have a problem with caps. I shoot flintlocks all the time. I have a percussion rifle that I made over 20 years ago and haven't put 100 rounds through it.

What caliber and nice rifle. Flintlocks are cool and a different breed of cat. I own 2 of them. But I havent dedicated enough time to them to learn how to shoot them YET. Its coming.

Off to Calgary tomorrow, wife wants a red Hudson Bay blanket for the bed, and I will go to Cabelas and see if they have Triple 7 powder. Says limited stock on their website. Also, they don't show any .490 lead balls but do show .495. Not sure if that will work with .015 patches, maybe they have other patches too. And of course any caps they have are coming home with me.

I see looking around that 490 balls are in short supply. Maybe order some from October County they cast there own. 495 might work just need to shoot them and see. Been Shooting some 495’s in mine and they worked fine with .015 patch
