Tried a loadinglever from a Pietta it didnt work at all the lever could only move 1/3 of the way, but it looked good. Heard rumors a uberti version of loadinglever would fit originals. So will try to get me one of those. Ive been to the range today aswell, made a post in range report forums.

So need to order me a Uberti loading lever and a nippletool that fits Colt.

Heck remove the nickle from the loading lever, polish it out and either cold blue it or give it an oil blackened finish.
Note - cold blue can be DRAMATICALLY improved by heating the base metal before applying it.
