We need more advancement in bp revolvers

I'm talking something in stainless, with coil springs, capable of using modern powders safely, that could use the same fifty call bullets used in cva single shot muzzle loader pistols. It should have adjustable iron sights and be optics ready without removing irons. Who's with me!

Sorry not me - keep 'reinventing the wheel' and all you'll have is a 'modern' revolver that happens to shoot black powder. Not unlike the inline BP rifles.

I'm sure there would be a niche market for such a revolver .... as to if there would be sufficient interest to make it financially viable for a company to make that investment .. :?: .. my first impression is, if there is, somebody would be producing them ....

There used to be a Ruger Old Army .50 cal 5 shot conversion. Would make a great "howdah pistol" in dangerous game territory. I also wish we'd see inline muzzle loaders as double guns, both pistols and rifles.

Coil springs and a nitride treatment would be good. However, if I am to buy a BP revolver, I would rather have it in a .36 or .44 caliber and round ball projectiles would be fine with me. And, iron sights only!

I'm thinking opf a bp gun that could fill a role similar to a howdah pistol or even be a primary hunter for bigger game. I don't think those calibers can cut it, well maybe .44.

Yeah, the .44's could do ok. I noticed a youtube video today or yesterday about someone hunting with a BP revolver. I didn't watch, so I don't know what they used. I'll have to look for it again.

There have been big bore 5 shot percussion revolver customs built on Ruger Old Army's. Here's one of Gary Reeder's "American Classic" revolvers in .475 cal.
