My black powder guns

Post by dave77 » Fri Oct 06, 2017 10:16 pm

Just posted a photo of my black powder rifle sheath over on the gun care section so I thought I would post some photos of my guns and a photo of my best (luckiest ;) ) shot ever with my rifle on a "Trail Walk Shoot".

Does not fit in my gun safe :(

Edge on but very close range, you had to cut the card completely in half for the shot to count

heck of a shot under most any circumstances .... for several years we were members of a black powder shooting club and have tried many of the classic shots .... I've hit the edge of a card but never managed to cut one completely through

Love those traditional BP guns. Great shot for any gun, too. Post more when you get a chance.

Cutting cards is a blast. There is a best way to do it. First make sure the card you shoot at is straight (no bow). When you align the sights on the card and when the card disappears, that is when you squeeze the trigger. You will cut the card 8 or 9 out of 10 times. Another great target is to split the ball on the axe and hit 2 clay birds with 1 shoot. Try it and have a blast.
