Re: Cleaning routine
Henry cleaning day tomorrow. We are under a high wind advisory, 70+ mph for a couple of days. Good day to get out in the saddle shed and clean guns.

Re: Cleaning routine
Is anyone using a spray CLP in the receiver area?
I have been running a couple of patches with solvent in the barrel, I then follow it with a couple of passes of a brass brush and then pull a snake from receiver end through the barrel twice.
I go to the inside of the reciever with a couple of q tips to get at what I can get at but I cant seem to adequately reach the bolt face.
I then just give a very good wipe down to the exterior with a little oil on a rag. Seems like I should be cleaning the receiver area better but I get what I can see. I thought about hitting it with CLP and letting it drain out but ... I dont know .. the Army rifle seemed easier to get good and clean if I remember basic correctly.
