Since I had a little to do this evening, I pulled out my .45 Colt revolver and gave it a Renaissance Wax once over -- both on metal and wood. I especially like how it highlights the wood grips, my favorite part of the gun. In the third and last photos, I got lucky and captured a nice, subtle shine of the CCH colors on the hammer, trigger guard, and trigger spur.Renaissance Wax - Blended white micro-crystalline waxes with white spirits. Why I use it.
This wax is used by museums of antique guns, swords, knives, armour, leather, metal sculptures, leather, wood, etc. Its pH neutral, no acids or alkalines. Also resistant to moisture and weathering environmental corrosion and does not discolor.
So this thread simply shows my polishing results, and the revolver shows off nicely.
The Renaissance shines again!
