Thanks for the most excellent photos. One ? Are those Texas Blue Bonnets in the second photo?

Nice set up there RR.RanchRoper wrote:I use this one for my 1860 Henry....from Triple K. Not lined however, so I keep the rifle in a sock inside it. Just so any oil won't stain the leather. That's how I transport unless horseback, then it's in the scabbard. The quality is good on the buckskin sheath, and price was right for sure.
Darn good lookin horse ya got there also.

Got my new sheath done. Was originally going to line it with a gun sock I had but that didn't work out too well. That's why it has the laces along the top, once I'd punched the holes I had to leave the laces although they're not needed. Not going to store the Henry in it, just using it for transport so decided it didn't really need to be lined.

Thanks, I enjoyed working with some leather again, it's been along time. Took me quite awhile, had it mostly done but when I got to the wider part of the sheath the stretched out gun sock was distorting the leather a lot more than I thought it would so I had to pull out most of the stitches to get the sock out.
Might pick up another sock and put the Henry in it first like RanchRoper suggested.
