Yup. I used several kinds of wax on my old Chrysler Cordoba, and they all worked on guns, too.Sir Henry wrote:Any Cordoba wax will work.

Re: Paste Wax
I just ordered a new can of Renaissance Wax. My old can lasted over 10 years. I was using it for my wood turning and to polish my household furniture. Plus my firearms. A little goes a long way.

Welcome to the forum from CT, shoota40. Renaissance Wax has a great reputation here. Lots of us started using it because of recommendations like yours. Thanks.

Plus one on the Johnson's. Have been using it for years. Nice to know there are other that will work, too, though. Thanks for the info.

Re: Paste Wax
I have been considering a different wax. I was using Birchwood Casey Gun Stock Wax. But, it leaves a residue in the checkering. So, I have been using a liquid wax that we use on our furniture which I picked up from a wood shop. It seems to work well. But, it is getting low, and the shop has closed. I might try the Renaissance Wax. Does it leave a residue in the checkering?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Paste Wax
I have since stopped worrying about wax and just wipe down with a rem-oil rag.
