Rec'd and installed the Accu-riser. Using that adjustable comb leaves the rifle closest to the original configuration and is easiest to reverse if the Grandson wants to. It fits the gun well and is easy to adjust for each user.
Since it's getting ready to go, I took it to the range for an operational test off the bench with live ammo and it performed flawlessly using Hornaday Varmint Express 17 grain polymer tips. Accuracy was OK for an off the shelf lever action using old eyes and shaky hands, a cantilever scope base, cheap rings, and the gritty factory trigger. I double checked all the screws for tightness, cleaned it carefully using the new .17 cleaning rod I bought for him, and put it away (again) until Christmas. I'm sure it will be a hit!
