Cabelas Pine Ridge 17 6-18x40

I shot this scope in a Henry today. I has not very impressed with it. The contrast was low even in bright sunshine. The glass simply absorbed too much light. I shot at 100 yards at 10 power and 50 yards at 6 power. Even at lower power it was flat lighting.

The parallax adjustment is on the left side and the elevation on top. The elevation started at 100 yards. The 17 does shoot rather flat out to 100 but I would still like it to go down to 50.

The scope requires a tool to neutral the zero which I also did not like (check the top turret). Yes it does prevent bumping in the field but that is usually not a problem with me.

My recommendation is to pass even at cheap prices.
