It has the grooved receiver. I have a tip off 3/4” weaver on it now. I am just not happy with the 60+ year old results looking through it. I know I can get rings to hold a 1” tube, so am interested in what is best for this old rifle.
I have been researching the 2-7 variable for my Henry 357 and wondered what might be best for the rimfire.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Re: Good rimfire scope upgrade
I have two of these Leupold 2-7x33 Rimfire scopes, one on a Rimfire and the other on my Henry BBS. They can be had for $199.00 at Cabela’s and most on-line sellers like Optics Planet. I bought my second one just a few weeks ago and of course there is a local guy with one for sale nearly new for $150.00. It is listed on a local gun buy/sell forum and if you are interested send me a PM and I will send you a link.
I know the seller personally but I have no personal interest in this sale. The seller is a straight shooter and I would have bought his scope had I not bought mine already. (Funny, I watched the site mentioned for a used scope that would work on my BBS and of course as soon as I bought a new one up it popped )

Re: Good rimfire scope upgrade
Thanks, I have been watching for this same scope. It seems to fulfill the needs on both rimfire and rifle. I think this is what I will pursue.
