Thinking you'll like that scope Red. Very nice. What's the rifle on the right? Man, if that one could talk!
The one on the opposite end to the scoped 336 is a Winchester 1894 in .30WCF with a manufacturing date of 1911. It was the first gun I ever bought for myself at age 17. I’ve had it going on 35 years now. Probably haven’t shot it in 20 years. The bluing is mostly gone, and she’s got her share of dings in the furniture, but as you said, I’m sure it has some interesting adventures to tell of. I bought it in a small interior town that was settled by Italian missionaries in 1859. It became a city in 1905 with a population of 600. I’m sure many a deer and bear has fallen in front of it.

Nice collection! I have been looking at shotguns. I think one will be the next addition to the toolbox.
Thanks for the compliment. I really enjoying my new Mossberg 930 autoloader. It helped me get about double my usual number of ducks this year. The Mossberg pump I had before was 100% reliable too. It was “neglected” as I used it for 3 seasons of ducks, 4 of turkey and upland birds and never once cleaned or oiled it (it was lubricated with the occasional spilt beer back in tha barn after duck hunting). I gave it to my apprentice and he’s enjoying it now. For a pure hunting shotgun, the Mossberg are a solid choice. Although a Henry lever .410 would be awesome for grouse and quail...

Thanks for the advice. I have heard a lot of good things about Mossberg's shotguns. I will keep an eye out for one.

They have treated me well. I’m loving the low recoil from the semi-auto.. if you go semi, the gas operated ones reduce recoil the most.

Missed this before. There was a 10% off coupon, so actually $130 with caps. Amazing dealfrom Natchez!
