Post by ranmcc » Mon Nov 18, 2019 2:29 pm

I have an extra Nikon 50mm scope I want to mount on my Long Ranger. Any recommendation on good rings?

.
I used these Vortex rings (0.75in-low height) with the 2 piece Skinner mounts. My scope objective is 40mm. Gap to the barrel is about 0.10". For a 50mm scope might want to consider the medium height (0.97") rings.

I set my scope caps aside and use a scope sock. For my sight picture I needed the scope at low.
