In my travels this week to get the Remington 541-S I also picked up a like new possibly never mounted Leupold 3-9 Tactical scope with matte finish and target turrets. I had never seen one of these before and never knew they were ever made. It was returned to Leupold by the original owner and he paid $80 to have the duplex reticle removed and replaced with the Leupold tapered reticle which is very nice in this scope. Not sure what rifle will end up with it on and may just go on my 222 Sako A1 Hunter. Wish the target style turrets were on half that tall but no big deal. I can get use to them. Possibly set the parallax myself for 75 yds. and use it on one of my 22's in late squirrel season. I traded a Leupold 2.5X20 Compact and a Leupold fixed 4X Compact even up for the Tactical 3-9. I was happy with the trade.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Re: Leupold 3-9X40
looking forward to following where you go with the Leupold; as well as, how it performs on whatever rifle you decide to mount it on
