swapping scopes on Marlin 39A Century Limited

Post by bandit1250 » Mon Oct 08, 2018 11:49 am

I am going to swap the Leupold M-8 2.5 Compact straight tube scope that is now on my Century Limited 20" octagon barrel Marlin to a 1-4x20 Leupold straight tube for squirrel season that starts Saturday in Pa. I don't hunt on Saturdays and I have the time to make the change and sight it back in. I like this little carbine for the weight and how small it is. It is also a very accurate lever action with a decent trigger pull. I think I will put the 2.5 Leupold up for sale after the change to the 1-4 Leupold. I really don't have a rifle I need it on right now. I have only seen two of the 2.5 Compacts and that could be a reason maybe to keep it. They are not that common. I just can't keep every thing any more.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That is about right for my area in most places here. I have a couple "honey holes" where I get much better buys on them. Head out toward Pittsburgh and they ask more and go to far east to shows in Pa. and up goes the prices again. I am in an area where if you have patience you can pick up a nice one at a reasonable price. Private sellers are better than the dealers at shows.
