ARKEN optics

Post by GunnyGene » Thu Nov 21, 2019 2:40 pm

Hadn't heard of this company before. Rex has a review of this scope which looks pretty good. About $550 msrp. Scope details and review at the video link (about 11min): 4-16x50, 34mm tube. Obviously designed for longer ranges.

Burris has a sale on a 6.5X 20 50 mm with second focal plane for under $300. It's a 1" tube but very good. I purchased one for my .280 Remington.

That a recent purchase? You tried it out yet? Would love to hear what you think after having used it.

Yes, very clear optics and used it on the range a couple of weekends ago. You'll get more bang for your buck with a 2nd focal plane. Burris is closing these out for some reason. They were selling for over $500 earlier in the year. 100 yard target after sighting in. ED: You'll need to get HIGH scope rings. Mediums will not allow enough room for the objective end to clear barrel.
