Not sure what you found on the internet. There is incorrect information out there. Specifically adjusting for windage. There is no need to punch the rear sight around! The read sight has a windage adjustment screw.

There is a Henry web site that explained it on Long Ranger. I saw windage screw but beware. When I tried to adjust, the head of the screw that holds the sliding plate with diamond discintigrated. Had to call Henry and order another screw. Got two just in case.

The plate with the diamond is your ELEVATION blade.
Are you in fact sure your rear sight has an adjustable windage provision?
The folding rear sight is a Marble's creation and the early style does not have windage adjustment and needs to be drifted in the dovetail to adjust.
I know - I have one of these on a muzzleloading rifle of mine.
I do know the later versions of this sight HAVE a windage adjustment but it is always possible you got one that did not.
