New Skinner sights for my BBSC 357

Post by deano5150 » Tue May 28, 2019 9:54 pm

So I finally “bit the bullet” and bought the Skinner Express and a .65 front blade sight for my BBSC 357. Thanks to some great info and pics from Redthies and others! They just came in this afternoon and I managed to get them installed rather easily. The rear sight was very easy and the front was much easier than I thought it would be to drift in. Now I’ve just got to get to the range and get them properly adjusted. I’m always looking for an excuse to put some lead down range.

Can't wait to hear how you like them. I think just about every review I have ever read was great.

Nothing yet. I think I’m going to get the Ranger Point Precision dovetail blank that matches the barrel profile. I was waiting to make sure I like the sights. So far I like them much better than the buckhorn and brass bead.

I did see that range report and enjoyed your comments and pictures .... as noted over there what I'd also really like to hear is your impressions of your new sights

RPP makes great stuff. Call them and talk to Kimberly about the barrel profile. They make two sizes, and with the .357 you will want the smaller one. Mine didn’t fit right, but I’m wondering if I got the larger size sent by mistake... That’s why I suggest you call.

Looks great! I just received my Skinner to go on my BBS 20" 357 -same peep as you got. Hopefully will be able to get them later today. I'm sncioud to hear how your new front sight works with it and what adjustments you have to make when sighting it in.
