Re: Tang sight
RR, no experience with that sight, but Marbles is still in the tang sight business for 1885s at about half that price. Here's a Marbles on my 1885 Low Wall 22 LR. When ordering, you order the sight and then add the correct screw set.
I also added a Lyman globe front, to complete the setup.

Re: Tang sight
Cimarron does not have much in the way of tang sights, so I will order the rifle stock with factory sights and see what it shoots like first. Likely add one of these later on, once I see what's what.

Re: Tang sight
The one from Buffalo Arms should work just fine. Don't forget to order the screw set. Have had good luck ordering items from them.

This one looks good too, and should be an easy fit.

Re: Tang sight
I used MVA sights on the Shilohs. They are great sights but expensive. I was using there Long range sights one called the Buffalo Soule sight. I also used what they called the Hadley eye cup. Its adjustable with different size holes in the cup. https://www.buffaloarms.com/target-iron ... y-eye-cups. Im not sure what I would do in your case but I know you will figure that out.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Tang sight
I will go with this one. I think it will work well for me, not as fragile looking as some others and it has old school cool factor for the rifle. Very Tom Horn-ish...(Tom Horn-y didn't sound right)...

Re: Tang sight
I'll be following this recent purchase of yours, closely, by the way. Love my Miroku 1885s, but they don't chamber them in revolver rounds, which I think is a shame. I may be opting for a Uberti Low Wall in the future for shooting 357 or 45 or similar.
