What is “not aligned”? I mounted mine on my Marlin 1895 GS, so I’m not sure if the mounting procedure is different for a Henry?

What color sight did you order? I don’t think any of the colors are supposed to be shiny/polished?
I ordered one without optics. But, one with green optics is being sent to me. I think the optics will help with aligning the rear and front sights. When I focus on the front sight, the points of the sides of the cloverleaf are very faint. So much so, it seems like a ghost ring. At least with a semi-buckhorn, the top of the front post could be aligned with the top of the semi-buckhorn cutout.

The main difference between a Marlin rear sight and a Henry's (that I can see) is a Marlin rear sight does fold. So, it should not block any view of the cloverleaf. As far as shiny, the base is dull at some spots. But, it does seem to shine up, with some work.

I mentioned the ghost ring effect earlier, and you describe it perfectly. If you focus a bit more on them, the points of the Cloverleaf come into play. I think the FOs are a similar thing. You need to focus on them a bit. Once you start shooting it a bit, you’ll figure out what works best for you. They also sell a standard aperture if you decide the Cloverleaf is not for you.

Update:

Well, I got the optic (seems more like fishing line) in for my Cloverleaf yesterday. I installed it last night (cut and melt in place). It does offer a better reference point for aligning the the front sight. Also, I did speak with Ranger Point Precision about two tone the finish on the base. It is suppose to be some type of protective coating. But, it seems to me that it may not have been applied to well. Anyway, I will give the Cloverleaf with optics a thumb up. I have not used a Ghost Ring. However, it seems that it would work better with respect to accuracy.

It is a nice day. Hopefully, I will make it to the range. Yet, my other half has plans for us. So, I will see have things unfold. I did make it last week. But, I took my 1894C instead. I am still trying to get use to it.

Below are some photos of the process of installing optics on a Cloverleaf:

I'd read about installing these, but this the first I've seen it in pictures. Thank you for sharing the process!
