Me too. I only have three lever actions. But, the 336 W is the only one with a scope. It came with a scope and was one of the reason that I bought it. I wanted somewhat of a modern flavor with nostalgia. Since I was planning to use it for hunting, POI was a concern beyond 75 yards or so.

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
Is your 336W a newer one that came with the scope from factory? If so,how is the accuracy?

Yes, it is a 2016 year. I think it is fairly accurate. Of course, I have to do my part:

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
Is that at 50 or 100? Either way, the group of 3 in the center is fantastic!

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
The center group is 25 yards. The larger group is 100 yards. I am hoping to get a group like the 25 yards. But, practice, practice, practice.

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
I see that now;).
I’m going to mount up the UTG Bugbuster I have, which is a 3-9x with illuminated reticle. It’s a decent scope for the money, but it’s no Nikon. If it gets me close to where you are at, I’ll be happy. 2-3” at 100 is “minute of white tail” in my world, and that is the sole purpose of this new Marlin.

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
I have a .357 SCH carbine an I put a Skinner Express rear sight on it. Has anyone tried the PEP f/o Henry front sight with the Skinner rear sight? I'm not sure the PEP front sight is tall enough for the Skinner rear sight.

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
I can agree. My goal was to get to less than 2", which I have met. Now, I wondering if I can get to less than a 1 1/2" group. So, that is my next goal, practice, practice, practice. However, I plan to put a fiber optic front sight on my 1894C first and run it through its paces. I ordered one for $20 that I would like to try.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?
I just pulled the 336 completely apart and polished all the internals, lightened the lock-up spring, and got the trigger lightened up to +/- 3 lbs. It’s much smoother now, but still no Henry. My 1-4x20 Nikon is on the way, so I hope to have it all ready to hit the range in a week or two. If I can get a sub 3” group at 100 I’ll be pretty happy. This will be my only scoped levergun. The rest are staying with the Skinners or RPPs as they should to suit their shorter range calibres.GFK wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:05 pmI can agree.
