Ranger Point CloverLeaf Peep Sight?

I can agree. My goal was to get to less than 2", which I have met. Now, I wondering if I can get to less than a 1 1/2" group. So, that is my next goal, practice, practice, practice. However, I plan to put a fiber optic front sight on my 1894C first and run it through its paces. I ordered one for $20 that I would like to try.

I just pulled the 336 completely apart and polished all the internals, lightened the lock-up spring, and got the trigger lightened up to +/- 3 lbs. It’s much smoother now, but still no Henry. My 1-4x20 Nikon is on the way, so I hope to have it all ready to hit the range in a week or two. If I can get a sub 3” group at 100 I’ll be pretty happy. This will be my only scoped levergun. The rest are staying with the Skinners or RPPs as they should to suit their shorter range calibres.

If your 336 is like mine, I suspect you will be in the 1 1/2" neighborhood.

That’s good to hear. It’s going to take a bit of getting used to, with the long lever throw compared to the .357! At least I got the trigger to a really good place. That should help accuracy a bunch. It amazes me how dirty new guns are when they ship!

Yes, I agree. Your accuracy should be superb! For the most part, I have only cleaned and lube mine. It has about 350 rounds through it. But, I have noticed that the trigger is not as stiff as it once was. So, I am hoping that it will wear in as I shoot it. Plus, I did not want to affect the warranty (still have about 20 months left).

Installed a Ranger Point Precision Henry red fiber optic front sight. Note that the sight has a pyramid top of the sight so you can use it if the red f/o doesn't show. It is slanted to the front so the rest of the sight doesn't interfere with sighting.

I haven’t done anything that would affect warranty. Unless they can tell by slightly less spring tension?

I put the same one on the front of my .45-70 Marlin. It’s a great match to the Cloverleaf.

I was able to get o the range this morning with the CCH .357 carbine and the new Ranger Point Precision sights. I sighted in with Remington UMC Value Pack .357 Magnum, 125 grain, soft jacket, hollow point ammo and I fired for a group with Federal Brass .357 Magnum, 158 grain, jacked soft point ammo at 25 yards off a bench.

The large target is the sight-in target and the smaller targets are the group targets. The sight-in target has two shot groups for sight-in. The four shots at the center are two sight-in groups. The four shot group on the upper left corner of the is an old group using the Skinner sight not fired today. You can see that my .357 carbine likes the 125 grain round over the 158 grain round and the RPP sights.

That’s a beautiful gun! My .357 really likes the AE 158 grain. It might be the difference between the octagonal barrel on yours and the round lighter one on my BBSC? If the CCH was available when I bought my carbine, I’d probably have bought one. They are just awesome to look at!
