Installed the clover leaf on my BB rifle. Fine for my eyes (@64 years) out to 30 yards. Installed very quickly, no problems. Hind sight being 20 - 20 , I find myself focusing a little too much on the "cloverleaf" on the rear as opposed to the front bead. I would order a plain peep sight if I could do it over again. I hate putting a scope on a lever action rifle but if I'm ever going to hit that tin can a 100 yards..... I hate getting old!

Ranger Point sells a standard peep aperture that you could install in that sight if you want to give it a try? They just show it as an option when ordering the sight, but I’m sure if you call and ask, they would set you up with one. The various sizes of aperture are available on their website.

Really love mine , installed it on my 45-70 my eyesight is starting to fade enough close up that buckhorns are a no go for me . Sight is very easy to adjust , works fine with factory front sight also . The cloverleaf kinda fades out and it gives me a fuzzy light shaded reference point with my eyesight. The fiber optic dots really help for quick sighting . The actual opening not counting the cloverleaf is .083 , the cloverleaf doesn't take up any field of view really .
My wife love mine so much that i ordered her a set also for Her Big Boy 45colt i just bought for her birthday present. They work great on that rifle also

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I finally managed to put some rounds through my .45-70 with the RPP Cloverleaf this past Friday. It was under pretty much ideal conditions. Got up a 1:30 am, loaded the truck and drove 3 hours over two 5,000’ passes in rain, then drove 1/2 mile off the freeway in to an old gravel pit near one of my hunting spots. Parked the truck at 5:15 am in pitch dark, but left the light bar on. Walked out 100 paces, stood up piece of 1/8” mdf with 1.5” masking tape squares. (This was because my apprentice was with me and had a new scope mounted on his Model 70, and had yet to fire a single shot). I walked 50 back towards the truck, and let one rip...

Figured that was good enough for a deer.

I didn’t adjust anything. That’s as I mounted it. I figured being a bit high at 50 yards is perfect for .45-70, which has the trajectory of a punted football. The Cloverleaf acts a bit like a ghost ring, but if you focus your eye rearward, you can get the “crosshairs” to come into play. I opted for the green FOs in the rear, and red FO front. That also doesn’t pop unless you focus on them.

Looks plenty good to me. Very nice for the first shot.
