Back to the range this AM, determined to figure this out.
1. Was mindful of NCG's input on Lyman Globe inserts: 1. stop changing them out willy-nilly; and 2. Give the small, pointy post a chance.
2. Sought better lighting, so moved to the "pistol" side of the house. Limited to 25 yards, but much better lighting on the target. Also, I know that if I can get dialed in and consistent at 25 yds, moving out to 50 yds will come in time if by no other means than the old "Kentucky windage" we used to use with BB guns as kids. Kind of intuitive, at some point.
3. Tried standing. Not so great. No sense burning up ammo. See pic below.
4. The monopod is no longer a variable, it's a must for me. See pic.
The pic and notes tell the story. Only "typo" is that the seated round count was 15, not 20. Lost count. "CRS Syndrome."
A few more rounds with this set-up and the MagTech and then will move on to the Hornady hunting rounds for confirmation. Will get to an outdoor range for change of scenery, better lighting and longer distances.
Sorry, Ed, looks like the Lyman will be staying with me for a while!
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
