Williams WGRS

Post by Mistered » Mon Feb 12, 2018 11:49 pm

Got the Williams WGRS today and installed it and it gives me a GREAT sight picture - can't hardly wait until the weekend to try it out - also I added a standard Winchester hammer shoe which I didn't realize until tonight Henry cut their hammers to fit. It WOULD have been nice if Henry had drilled the sight base holes about a 1/2" forward then the Williams sight would have fit without hanging over the rear of the receiver but it's not that big of a deal. The hammer shoe really helps.

Man I don't get it - maybe a mod can look into it and see if there is a reason my pic does not show - looks great on my end!

I think it's a permissions problem, Mistered. It appears as if the image is located in the Google cloud, where you have an account, which is why you can see it in your browser but others can't.

Try using the Full Editor and Preview window instead of Quick Reply and then using the Attachments tab at the bottom to upload the image directly into the forum.

Relatively new to the forum, been lurking for a while now. Have 2 Henry's, my .327 carbine now has the WGRS rear sight turned around and so far I like it. The question I have is about the front sight. I have the rear as low as it can go and while it works, it looks goofy. Did anyone that has done this change the front sight height? If so what height did you use?

I moved a .490 height blade from one of my Winchesters to the Henry and the WGRS is exactly at the halfway point of elevation for me the have a perfect POI at 50 yards.

Outstanding, thank you! Hope to get a front blade and try it out this weekend.
