Pistol scope on Golden Boy Cody

Post by SAGA22 » Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:52 pm

Being new to this Golden Boy culture I decided to experiment with a scope. I ordered the Golden Boy scope mount and had an old 2X pistol scope without a home so tried it out. The scope mount was easy to install and I used one Weaver ring and mounted the scope as seen in the photos. The eye relief is just right at that position and the hammer is unobstructed.
I will more than likely cut the scope mount off just behind the ring and I believe it will be a clean looking installation. With that light scope I think one ring will be plenty stable for the shooting I do.

Here is a photo that I cloned out the rail. Looks better to me. I tried a Leupold scope 4.5X-14X but it overpowered the rifle.

Golden Boys are known for the amount of drop in the stock. Do you have to hold your head up to use the scope?

The scope is on the lowest rings I have and I can get a repeatable side of my chin weld to the stock. Not perfect but workable.

Interesting scope/mount set up on your rifle. Most interesting is your book on SUN TZU. Brilliant military strategist in his era.
Not many know about him.
