.
The Sightmark one I bought was very accurate(url above). When I was shopping I stayed away from the one's on Amazon that were blatantly from a Chinese seller.

I’ve found bore sighting to be more of a waste of time and energy than not. I’m sure it has to do with which tool and which operator though. If you start your sighting in from scratch (without bore sight) at 25 yds, then move to 50 and then 100, you should be able to be on paper and dialing in the 100 yard zero after maybe a half dozen shots at 25 and 50.

I have a BSA Bore Sighter (BS30). I thought I would try something different. Live and learn.

But, this is the final results of that day. After I adjusted from the initial 4 shots. I shot 2 round at ranges 25 yards, 50 yards and 100 yards. It was getting cool to me, so I called it a day.

That’s the one I have, but mine’s for .44 mag. It would be pretty easy for the bore sighter to be out of whack I’d guess.

I have the exact same setup. I never put much stock for the bore sights or the laser sights. IMO they get you on paper at 100yds and the fine tuning is up to the shooter. The POI for the scope is correct. Crosshair moving down is "bullet" up and vice-verse. Just my 2c.

.
If the in bore bore sight is off by even a little the laser beam doesn't make it past the end of the muzzle or you get a partial eclipse of the laser dot. As with any sighting tool, the in bore bore sight gets you close on paper. Shooting is required to fine tune.
