Thread locker brands
Where I am it's 1/2 hour to town. Went down the mountain today to get some blue Loctite to mount my new scope. All I could find was " Devcon " brand, blue #245. Is anyone familiar with this brand? Is it just as good as Loctite brand #242 ? I got it at the local ACE hardware store, $4.89 for 2 oz. First time doing this so I don't want to take any chances with an inferior product.

Thanks JEBar, am familiar with Permatex as I used to work on my own autos. Maybe I'm being too cautious, that's just me. might just go ahead and use it so I can just get it done.

.
If really concerned about it, try it first overnight on some random nut and bolt you have laying around.
