New sights
Considering putting a Skinner "Lo-Pro" on my BBB and removing the buckhorn. Drifting it out won't be a problem, but, what is that knob deal at the very rear of the buckhorn sight? Thanks for any help or info would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Re: New sights
Not totally sure what the "knob deal" is on the buckhorn. My thought is that the smooth, rounded-shape would either help keep the sight from scratching the top of the barrel, or "level" the sight as you look through it?
Anyway, one thing I learned late on removing a buckhorn. There are a number of Forum chats on removing a buckhorn, but this thread provides an important suggestion, which all but eliminates the chance of scratching the barrel top with the sight. (I really marked up my barrel when I drifted out a buckhorn for the first time....didn't know this). Check this suggestion in Preacher's first thread comment: http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... ght#p61732
