Never ordered from these folks but I did see a You tube video where a guy had one of there sling and stock covers. It looked well done and nice to me.

This is the old stock cover I had on my Big Boy rifle but sold it with the rifle. Anyhow, I just ordered another one exactly the same for my Henry 1860. It offers more protection for the stock than the Ricochet Roy one I have. I was surprised how small the Ricochet Roy one is and expected it to cover more area. I love the leatherwork but it just seems small to me. If I have one on the rifle I want more protection, especially in the bush.
Just ordered this one from gunstockcover.com;

I see what you mean, but I guess that the only thing that I can say is that they are both sure beautiful.

I may rub some neatsfoot oil into the new one to bring out the leather grain and tone it down a little.

The fringed one at the top is what I am thinking for my 1885 High Wall when it shows up. It's actually made of deerskin, with cowhide underneath at the bottom where it laces up. I would rub some oil into it to darken it up though.
