Buffalo Bill Cody

Name that rifle....

Very cool film. I actually had my photo taken with that saddle in North Platte Nebraska at a home that once was Cody's. Now a museum.

I've been to Buffalo Bill's gravesite at Lookout Mountain in CO. Does that count? :)

You were definitely born a century late. I love that you literally keep the era alive.

Name that rifle....
I'll go out on a limb and say it's a Winchester Mod 94 possibly a 26" (maybe a 24") 'Klondike' Sporting Rifle - essentially the same as one of mine.
For the most part he has his hand over the receiver but in the one scene he lays the rifle down on the log I stopped the vid and could not make out a sideplate which would suggest something earlier such as a mod 73. Also in the same scene there was a couple seconds of the left side shown fairly clear and I could not make out a saddle ring which was NOT on the Sporting Rifle.
Also the buttstock has a thinner grip and a more pronounced 'hook' on the top of the stock at the front near the grip. The earlier stocks had a less pronounced hook that tapered back somewhat.
Also it is VERY clear this stock has been modified (or was ordered this way) to use a carbine (or shotgun) style flat buttplate as opposed to the crescent style which was standard on this model. My 1866 Commemorative has this style buttplate.
My own piece of 'Buffalo Bill' commemoration:
