We have purchased major name brand ammo at Ammunition Depot several times and often gotten free shipping, they have sales on case lots, and often the free shipping is not cancelled by sale items. I get their emails now and then but not a harassing amount. I drop in now and then to look for case lot deals on the major calibers I shoot, and see what they have on clearance as far as hardware goes....

Won't buy from Cheaper Than Dirt even before they gouged folks on ammo, because of the high shipping and handling.

I hear ya, I had never bought anything from them prior to the gouging incident, but after that I told myself I wouldn't dare purchase a thing from them,
I've never even looked at their site since.

I believe the boycott we gave them had a pretty sizeable impact.

We held a Week Long Street Survival Symposium in our Jurisdiction in 98. Big Deal, lot's of attendance; vendors and instructors from major departments and big name schools like Gunsite. Cheaper Than Dirt had a table on Vendor's Hall. I talked to one of the bigshots when he sat at my table during lunch at the venue. He asked if I bought from them and I told him NO. He asked why... I told him to his face that the only thing stopping me was the outrageous shipping and handling charges. I would only buy if they had a sale with FREE shipping and handling.

I have also used them in the past…….last purchase was a ‘Hellcat Pro’ 9mm.
When the item you want is in-stock…..delivery to your FFL is very timely!

Yes, it seems to have a good selection. Because I decided to go the pay cash route, it has been a delay. It was only a $15.00 discount. But, I am in no hurry. That $15.00 can go towards ammo. Yet, I bought beer instead. However, I did buy a few boxes of ammo from Midway USA. Supposedly, I got a $30.00 discount. The ammo was cheaper than what I paid a few months back. I guess there could have been some price gouging going on. Or, the supply has finally out paced the demand. In either case, I plan to shoot a box or two at the range.
