Another thing some might want to consider is to review your browser settings.

UNLESS you have a specific need for a particular setting (such as device 'synching' for example) make sure they are turned OFF unless you have an understandable reason for using it.

A lot of browser settings if ON can cause seemingly odd computer operation if not understood as to exactly what they do or are for.

Also make sure you log off sites you are not currently using as well.

Turn off your location setting.

Clear your browsing history routinely.

Also last but not least don't regard every odd or unexpected notification or 'glitch' as a 'ransomware' or other criminal activity. I think the term 'ransomware' has become synonymous with almost any inconsistency or suspect data issue or display. A lot of standard security functions can show odd displays and may just be performing their specific function. I often see small popups at the top of my screen that say 'malicious site blocked' - and then it disappears.

One of the gremlins can be put to rest. The offset click zone for "Quick Links" was caused by where in the html webpage code the Santa's hat webpart was placed. A bug in the admin tool for managing webparts.

I turned it off after Christmas. I also turned off the snow too. I like the lights and most members do too, so they stay until New Years. I don't think the snow or the hat are necessary next year.

The sound wasn't working on mine either for the light bulbs. Then I let y 5yr. old Granddaughter shoot a few and she got the sound working. Seems she left clicked the mouse. Leave it to a 5 yr.old to figure out a computer huh? Everything else works as it should.
