I like seeing avatars too. Sure helps you to know who is posting at a glimpse.daytime dave wrote:In case no one noticed, if you don't have an avatar, you have a blank one. I added that last week. I'm glad to see others putting avatars on. I like to see that.

Re: Avatars
A few nights ago, I decided to give an Avatar another try. This would be my 3rd attempt. This time I making, what I thought anyway, was good progress. I kept hitting roadblocks, got around them, got more road blocks, got around them, etc, etc. I tried it through Photobucket and directly through my computer, both. Right at the end, I saw where it looked like I needed to re-size it to a smaller picture. Accomplished that, but it still would not submit. Around mid-night I finally gave up, lol.
I have Avatars at about 6 or 7 different sites and some were no picnic either, but a few were like nothing. I'll keep trying as time allows, lol.

Re: Avatars
Maybe you can just put a happy face on the one you have...
Seriously though, I googled "avatar generators" and then just uploaded my photo into it. There was about 3 or 4 steps, and it was done. Prior to that I struggled trying to reduce pixels, etc.

Re: Avatars
That sounds easier than what I had to do. I emailed myself from my tablet, edited it on my computer, altered the save quality to shrink the file size, then emailed it back to myself so I could upload it via my tablet... Tried your route, much better results!

It is not the caliber of the gun, but the caliber of the man holding it.
Old guns, old cars, and old men all lose something when they are set aside, only to be put on display.
Traveling East, searching for that which is lost.
