A new forum
Unfortunately, we have decided that we need a forum added to our list of forums.
Empty saddles will be dedicated to those members who we know have departed this life. It will have one person posting titled "Those departed". It will post the member name and anything else we feel should be added. It will be a locked thread series. Once we are done deciding how we want it, we will erase all the testing there.
If you have any suggestions, please post them here. We are trying to keep it simple and tasteful.
I'm just keeping everyone up to speed.
Thanks,
Dave

If any of us make it to 100, you get a special thread of your own. But we still expect a range report...

One thing we do at the forum where I'm a mod, is that we include the person's avatar.
People have a hard time with names but seem to remember the avatars.

We plan to do that here, too. Unfortunately, Squatch didn't use one at the end, so there was none to include in the post.MICoyote wrote:One thing we do at the forum where I'm a mod, is that we include the person's avatar.

No historical record of his avatar is kept in the member's profile info? Too bad...the avatar is a great idea though.

Can it also be utilized for departed pets? In our house they are family members.

Re: A new forum
I think we would all agree that our pets are indeed family members but respectfully we will keep the Empty Saddles area reserved for our absent Forum friends.
We would encourage any member to post in the Lounge about pets as many of us have them and it sure does hurt to lose them. They say cowboys don't cry but this old one has shed many a tear over some beloved horses over the years.

I'm afraid they're not interested in your pet iguana, my old friend.Bugs wrote:Can it also be utilized for departed pets? In our house they are family members.
