Great photo, RR. All that good-looking wood surrounding your favorite sure makes it stand out nicely.
Yup, you and a lot of other Folk have been waiting for some range time again. It will happen.

Your Garcia bit would have been G.S. Garcia of Ca. before he and his wife went to Elko in 1893.

I wish! It is actually by E. Garcia from California I think.
A GS Garcia would be a keeper for sure.

Have you ever read the history of J.M. Capriola Co. very interesting. I was reading that Capriola apprentice under Garcia in Ca.

Yes I am familiar with Capriolas. Not sure anymore but it was buckaroo mecca in Elko at one time. Nice gear.

I have few, but here's hoping these three count.

Many a cowboy had his trusty rifle as his best friend. I know I do.

I'm kind of a boot freak, but the only ones that fit in this particular category are these two.

I was adjusting gear today and moved my scabbard down, fastened to the rear cinch rigging ring instead of the brass d-ring above it. I was a little concerned that d-ring could pull out with the rifle weight on it. It's secure now, the rigging will never pull out. Just got back from riding in the hills this morning and the rifle packed well. The angle is a little different, but my leg still hugs it well enough that I can que my horse. Rifle doesn't move around either.
