Another outing with Clovispup

Post by clovishound » Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:53 pm

We visited the Birds of Prey center just outside of Charleston. They do everything from medical treatment of injured birds to public education and outreach. They have tours and demonstrations they put on several times a week, as well as other activities.

Clovispup and I visited today, and she got some great photos. The falcon and kite demonstrations were awesome, but difficult to photograph. The barred owl demo made it easy to get some great shots. Here are a few.

They have a special photography session they offer several times a year. It is geared to allowing folks special access to some of the birds that facilitate photography. We plan on signing up for one of these later this year. Should be fun.

This one has some technical flaws, but I love the sense of motion.

I love seeing and watching birds of prey!! Such majestic creatures. Have dropped squirrels that even before I can approach them, a large, beautiful hawk comes down to get dinner, then effortlessly flies off with it.....feed the babies!
