A sunset sky -- looking East

Post by PT7 » Sat Aug 25, 2018 8:14 pm

I'm definitely in the amateur category of this sub-forum, as is also my Nikon CoolPix 35mm camera.
Still going to post these two photos I just took as I came back from my mailbox.

I know a photo of sky/clouds doesn't truly show what I really saw with my eyes, especially with a quite inexpensive camera. Sunset was just starting behind me, and I was walking east. I looked up at a very high, bright-white, and jagged cloud formation that made me stop and stare at the sky. I thought it was a beautiful sight! :) So went inside and grabbed my Nikon to capture these photos.

An eastern view of a sunset start!

Pretty! Kinda reminds me of antiaircraft flak. Oh, look at the 2nd picture there is an aircraft in the upper right!

Think you might be right on that jet. Better eyes than these elder ones!

There was a tremendous amount of air traffic today in/out of KCI airport. My home is right under the flight path of both a landing and take-off runway. Lots of jets overhead....and often.
