Some random travel pics from the Western side

Post by Redthies » Sat Aug 18, 2018 10:25 am

Thought I’d throw in a few pics taken over the past couple of years. Using a steam powered Nikon D200 with ED glass.

Fisher Towers area, then Wind River Range Wyoming, Ventura County Ca and Anza Borrego Ca.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

And some more. I tend to take a few photos with pavement in them on most of my trips as it tells a bit of the story of the drive. We try to avoid interstates whenever possible.

The mountain and raven pic are from BCs coast range (mtn is view from living room of my last house) and Dachshund is one of my hunting buddies taken at the pond in my yard. First two road pics are Utah and Wyoming (Flaming Gorge area), second two are Utah and then San Juan’s near Sawpit Co.

Thanks Al! Some are in BC, but most are Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and California. We usually do a long trip every fall in the mid Sept to mid Oct time frame. It’s the best time to travel as most people are done their holidays, and the snow hasn’t hit in the passes yet.

Beautiful photos, Redthies! I always find myself selecting favorites out of groups like this.
Here are my three choices this time; 'twas hard to decide.

Thanks much for the trip you took us on. Enjoyed it. :D

~~~Always absolutely love snow shots!
~~~Your hunting buddy looks like a twin to my childhood buddy, Pepper! Great pose from your little guy.
