I had to shoot ten or fifteen different pics to finally catch the wings just right, but I love the colors in this picture...
Tina used to tell her friends that I was probably losing my mind. "He sits out in the garden first thing in the morning... just him and that stupid camera." Then she'd laugh... and say, "But they do get some great pictures."

That is one beautiful photo. Absolutely extraordinary. And, I don't like to be picky, but no Monarch. That is a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. I used to collect them.
