100+ and still doing it.

Post by John M » Sun Oct 14, 2018 4:49 am

We went over to our daughter's farm for dinner. Got there a little early which gave me time for a quick look for a rabbit or hare. The Steven's Favorite just as capable now as it was way back in the day when if you saw a kid with one you would ask how his hunting was, not call the cops.

I don't think I've ever seen a rabbit that big! Initially from the picture I was guessing some sort of wild dog. But the legs aren't right for that. SO figured it had to be what you wrote about. Good catch! That your first with your new-to-you Stephens?

Wish I could hunt rabbits here. I'm limited to a pellet rifle.

I do love those classic single shots. Beautiful gun, doing its job, as it has for generations.

Was that a jack rabbit?!?! When I lived in North Dakota those giant bastards were just the meanest things with even bigger attitudes. They would chase people through the base in certain sections. I had a Nissan Sentra at the time, while driving one hopped out at me stopped stood up over the hood of my car. I swear he dared me to hit him, and slowly continued to cross the street.

I must be tired. When I first read this I thought he was saying he was a 100 years old and still out hunting. I need to get some sleep.
