I was quoting the Washougal comment. The Braaap refers to the National motocross event held there annually (as it’s a fairly famous track). I wondered if you codgers would get it! I think I’m the Forum toddler being only in my 50s!

This 67 year old codger (one who has never been a gearhead) had to look it up and discovered "Braaap" is:
Urban Dictionary wrote: A sound of elation, similar to the revving of an engine in a dirtbike/quad. Often used after achieving a good grade or making a badass play in a sport. Sometimes also used when referring to any type of vehicle with a powerful, winding engine.

Now, THAT'S funny! I just turned 60, so the codger comment is crushing. Have had my share of motorcycles in my LONG life, but not the dirtbike variety. It is a famous track, but, in my years living there, just never made it to an event. Go figure.

Too funny!

Well, my wife says I’m 50 going on 80 so I guess I’m older than you both in some form or other!

well being this is a firearms forum, I thought it might be referring to a machine gun that makes the braaaap sound. ;)
