No problem with wolves here. They are smart probably smarter than most of todays 2 legged creatures and will survive.
I worry about the new breed of 2 legged critters that hang out near population centers!

They reintroduced them into Colorado here a year or so ago and there is a bunch of ranchers over in the western part of the state that were not very happy about it. Some of the ones from Yellowstone have already made there way into the state.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Not a big fan of wolves... Not at all. We have lots around here and they are a pain. My son was attacked by one a few years ago, ripped the back of his head open. They are part of our lives now here in Northern Minnesota, but they need to be managed.

When I worked at the big ranch a few years back, we had losses every year when running yearlings. Switched to cow/calf and losses diminished.

Re: Removing wolves from the Endangered Species protection.
We don't have a wolf problem here in Ohio but I wish they would do something about these dam coyotes. They are killing off our turkey and deer populations. I raised a hybrid wolf one time from a cub. She was 87 % Timber and the rest Malamute but she was timid and no matter what I did or how I tried to obtain a good relationship with her, it never worked out. The inevitable happened when she got loose and attacked my goat and Beagle and would not come anywhere close to me and that was after a year and a half of trying to raise her. In fear of her attacking little kids as they waited to load onto a school bus in the morning, I had to break out my 270. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Had I had more time to handle the situation, I might have succeeded but it was already 3 am in the morning and I had been trying to get her 10 hours in the cold of winter and by 3 am I had to get ready to drive for an hour and a half to go back to work for another 12 hour day. Wolves are beautiful animals but they will always retain the wild in them. That can not be bread out.
