I noticed the Weatherby Mark V .300 Wby in your signature .... the 300WBY is one heck of a caliber .... back in 1992 Remington put out a limited run of their 700 bolt action rifles chambered for the 300WBY .... its a tremendous rifle that can take down any critter in this hemisphere at much longer distances than I can see to shoot

It is one of my favorites! The Mark V doesn't go into the woods as much as my others as it is incredibly heavy, but It's a great shooter. It's also the reason I started handloading as that cartridge is hard to find and expensive when you do. Yes that was the Sendero they did the Weatherby calibers in right? Never seen one but have heard great things.

understood on the cost of ammo .... we reload as well .... since Starline came out with brass, the cost has come down considerably .... ours, shown below, predates the Sendero .... she's an active hunter that has earned every scratch, ding, and mar .... she has one heck of a bark an bite .... she has been modified to reduce felt recoil and it really helps

Gorgeous! I prefer mine with a bit of wear and tear as well, all of mine have stories to tell. Here is the Weatherby, its a 1970 when they were made in Germany

Nearly Identical! Since the photo I switched out the old redfield scope for a Nikon as well. Other than that it's all original. Not sure how much it was shot previously but I assume a re barrrel will need to happen in the future, but for now its a great shooter.
