Congrats. Nice buck.

He said a carbine, just not whether it was a BBB, or a BBS.

Thanks fellas! I should've specified, its the Ruger .44 Carbine. He came in to about 30 yards, but I had to shoot right handed although i"m a lefty, based on how i was sitting. Wasn't sure of shot placement so he stopped in a shooting lane at about 85 yards so I hit him again and he dropped right there. Turned out I double lunged him with the first shot, but I don't like to chance a wounded deer with an unsure shot

lol, weren't wearing the glasses  and didn't notice the rifle.
Can't til, but doesn't appear to be a lever.
Looks like it could be a Ruger.

Edit: guess we were typing at the same time, lucky guess on me.
Cool that you are able to shoot either handed as not a lot can.
I can shoot fairly well with my off hand, left in my case.
Congrats, the ole 44's sure pack a punch.

nicely done .... letting a Ruger 44 carbine get away from me decades ago still haunts me .... hands down the worst decision to let a firearm go that I ever made ....

Well I've actually never tried it before, but I had to improvise a little given the situation. I shoot a bow right handed though so that may help, maybe a bit of luck too!

JEBar, you probably don't want to hear this but It's amazing in the brush! light, short, and powerful. I hope someday you come across one for a fair price! I searched for mine for about two years before I found the right one, and after some tlc it works great
