South Carolina has decided

Post by clovishound » Sat Sep 01, 2018 1:38 am

That I'm old enough to qualify for a lifetime hunting license. It includes big game, fresh and salt water fishing, Wildlife Management Area permit, migratory waterfowl and a few more I don't remember.

All that for the princely sum of $9. The only down side is they won't automatically mail me deer tags. I'll have to go to the local office and get them. I was paying $50 a year for all that, so a trip over there once a year to save $50 is well worth it.

Magic number is 64 years old.

Very good. Our magic number is 65, and the simple verification document I need is a valid driver's license. Cost of a deer hunting tag each year is only $7. Just a trifling amount. And like you, I have to go and get at tag. They are available at most of the wally-worlds and some LGS.

If a deer doesn't participate in the hunt and I have no harvest, I'm then providing $$ support for our conservation department.

Clovishound....... You can order your tags online and they will mail them. Probably too late for this year, but can do next year. Took less than a week for mine to arrive. That was when they were talking about a wait because they had so many to send out.

Got to use one of my "Antlered" tags this morning. Nice eight point buck.

NC residents born on or before Aug. 1, 1953 are eligible to purchase a senior lifetime license when they turn 65 years of age. Those born after Aug. 1, 1953 are eligible to purchase a senior lifetime license when they turn 70 years of age..... I believe the cost is $15

Wish Colorado would do that. The only thing us old guys in Colorado get is fishin lic for a buck and there talking about doing away with that.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
