RR, I found it much easier to find Waldo than to find your rifle.

(P.S. My one Handford book is "The Great Waldo Search." Much fun).

I went out with my BBB 44mag last fall and didn't worry about the brass. I am careful with how I handle my rifles out in the woods and after using Penn. longrifles for over 40 years carrying the Henry is a cake walk. I shot a 6point buck and a doe with it and the shine from the brass didn't
seam to make any difference. Take it out and don't worry about it. Be careful and have fun.

JayZuv, I live in the town of Summerhill. Not a town really as there are no stores. Closest town is Moravia.
It's right in the middle of the state.
I am also planning on using my 1860 this year if I can get out and shoot it. Getting old is the pits.

take it out and hunt with it, I snuck in on 2 does the other evening with the BBB in my hands. I saw them about 120 yds out in the field, I was able to slowly stalk across the field to within about 40 yds. neither of them saw me and wind was in my favor. brass did not scare them, the loud boom from the 44 mag did!

That is quite impressive mrgun, may I ask how you do that successfully? I’ve tried that several times with no such luck

Hey JayZuv:

I was wearing a black rain coat with the hood over my head. I watched the deer and when they put their head down to eat I would move closer, they look up I freeze. just kept doing that over about 15 minutes and I was up on them.
