Out to 100 yards, I doubt the deer will know the difference if you put the shot where it needs to go.

The 41's tend to shoot just a tad flatter.
I have one of each also, but I tend to lean towards the 41.
But I do have a pretty accurate 280 gr load, besides
when asked what sir did you use?
And you a 41 Mg. a lot of people say. what?
I ain't ever heard of a 41

Well my grandson and I went out Saturday morning he with the 41 mag me with the 44 mag [ both in the same pop up blind] . Was not long 2 deer came in [ first deer], I told him, this is it get ready. Shoot when your ready, He shot and dropped the bigger one [right where she stood about 40 yds], The other deer just stood there I said SHOOT AGAIN [ thinking he would shoot the other one ] He did well now the bigger one has 2 holes in it , the other deer got away. My grandson better knowing as [2 shot] was very happy, About 5 minutes later while waiting for things to settle down a buck came in 2-shot couldn't get the drop on him so I shot one shot 44 mag we are all done hunting deer for this year. Thank you Henry rifles for making my and 2- shots day.
