Kentucky deer hunt

Post by Hidden Mortimer » Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:51 am

Hi,
I'm interested in hunting deer in Kentucky near the border with Cincinnati. I'm not after any trophies, strictly meat. I don't care if I only harvest does. I will be coming from Az. Can anyone tell me if hunting public land near KY Cincinnati border be possible?

I've just sent an email to a Brother-in-law who lives in that area .... he's a shooter but not a hunter .... if he knows of any in that area, I'll pass it along to you

JEBar thank you so much. I've been dreaming about taking deer with either the 45-70 or 45 colt.

Hey HM,

I just googled Kentucky Public Hunting and found this. I guess you could do the same for Ohio.

http://fw.ky.gov/Hunt/Pages/Public-Land-Hunting.aspx

If it's anything like Florida, coming in from out of state hunting on public land you would be very lucky to harvest any deer at all; not to say it wouldn't be a cool thing to do.

Coming in with limited knowledge of the area you may want to hunt something less elusive or go private $$$$ :)
